Service was great. Waitress was on her game. Food was excellent, highly recommend the chicken Marsalla. Owner even stopped by our table to say hello. Great dinner experience.

I had Carrabba's at Jacksonville was fantastic. We wanted to try this one, the food is good however, the service needs improvement. I didnt have a second sip from my wine while having appetizer, the server brought my main. It was just too fast.

Well... This is my 5th time here... This is a cute place. If you come here on Sundays everyone who works here is in a slow motion..... The CHICKEN SOUP that I always crave can be spicy as hell. The Mahi was really salty.... Good luck if you need a manager... You can"t see one... They are suppose to walk around checking on the guests..... Overall I give this place from 1 to 10,'a 5....... yep...... This is better than if you are not in the mood to cook... Bartenders with no personality specially the guy on a pony tail... Gess

Wonderful ambiance. Waiter knew the food and menu well. Service was attentive. I had the pork tenderloins, calamari app and BlackBerry sangria. Everything was great. I gave them a 4 because they don't have a simple chicken fettuccine on the menu for my picky son who removed each mushroom before he ate it.

Got a take out order, spaghetti meat sauce and meatballs and mozzarella to go. $25 dollar order, got half way down the road and decided to check. The sticks where melted and cold, and spaghetti was a joke. The amount you get for the money is ABSURD! Spoke to the manager who never even apologized for the disgrace of the meal. Wish I would have just gotten my money back. Bleh! Food tasted mediocre at best.

They JUST opened so they are still working things out. The food was great. The service a little slow - but we got seated right away. We had a nice family dinner - slow and steady.

I've always loved going to a Carrabba's as the food has zest, flavor and for chain, to me, rather excellent. This particular Carrabba's is a really nice place but highly disappointing. Besides no even having any Wi-Fi, the service is horrible. When I entered, there was no hostess to be found. I had to sort of wonder around, located a waitress who then took some time trying to find the hostess to seat me. Then, I ordered a drink, sat there for 15 minutes, got up and was ready to leave however the manager then suddenly appeared with my drink and before I would let him escape me, place my food order directly with him which I thought would be quicker, but it wasn't. There was another extended wait for my salad then another for my meal. When I finished my meal, I had to get up again and search for my waitress in order to get my check. I generally rate Carrrabba's as being Four Stars and indeed the food I had was Four Stars but in comparing this particular Carrabba's to the others which I found to all be enjoyable experiences, this one wasn't. Hence my rating for it in comparison to other Carrabba's is Two Stars and though they offered me some coupons to use if I returned, I declined since I won't be returning to this particular Carrabba's location.

We've eaten at Carrraba's many times in different cities. And to summarize many of those below, it is a good restaurant with some surprisingly superb dishes, at a very reasonable price. The ambiance is very pleasant. One small complaint: the calamari had too much crust for my taste. Look, if you are a food snob and won't lower yourself to eat at a "chain" restaurant, then move on. Don't bore the rest of us with this tripe. I'm not impressed.

Filet Bryan is great and the price won't break the bank. Took my girlfriend there for dinner on a Saturday night. Service was good. The chicken soup was really good also. We enjoyed it so much that we came back Sunday again mmmmm yum.

Love the Tag Pic Pac and fresh bread!! Always fabulous. The Tag Pic PAC has big slices of fresh garlic in it. The dipping oil and spices for your warm from the oven bread is heavenly. My friend had the pizza and he said it was crisp and delicious as well. We will absolutely be back.

At one time is seemed there was an Italian restaurant on every other block in Fort Lauderdale but now with chains and franchises it seems they are on every block-- and I have tried them all. My favorites (and I have written reviews on both) are the Casa Vico for elegant Italian food and Big Louie's for that eating at home food and feelings. Carrabba's is not poor and not excellent but indistinct from hundreds of other Italian restaurant. Allen had the lunch fettuccini with shrimp, mushrooms and garlic ($11.90) and had a side salad ($2 more) along with a diet soda ($2.75). I had the lunch lasagna in a meat sauce ($8.90) a side salad with crumbled blue cheese as they didn't have a bc dressing ($3.50 without the server telling me of the extra $1.50 for the blue cheese--which is a charge I haven't faced in 30 years) and a cup of coffee for $2.75 We were also given a generic Italian bread with a dish of oil and what would looked like capers for dipping. The restaurant has been completely redone since it was a Bobby Rubino's years ago and another restaurant since then. It is done all in dark browns and black, has an open kitchen in the rear, a bar with high top tables on the right and tables on booths on the right. The server made a couple of mistakes with one being not telling about the extra charge for the blue cheese crumbles another with a mistake on the check. With tip and tax the check came to $40. The rest reminded me of a steakhouse while the food didn't make me want to come back. Off to the Cafe Vico tomorrow!.

Came here in January for my anniversary & loved it! We went on Friday & we only had to wait 30 minutes, which isn't bad. I always order the Pasta Weezy...so good! Our poor waiter had been working there a few days, so he wasn't familiar with the menu, but was very courteous & prompt with service.

Although Carrabba's is a chain I have never been disappointed. On Wednesday night they have half off bottles of wine and pitchers of Sangria. Their regular red Sangria is not too sweet and packs a punch. Their warm bread with their seasoned olive oil and vinegar is a great way to start a meal. I do end up getting full on the bread alone but then I get to take leftovers home so its a win win in my book. My favorite entree is the Chicken Bryan. It is perfection on a plate. It's a chicken breast topped with goat cheese, sundried tomatoes and a housemade lemon butter sauce. I have also had their trio combination which includes their Chicken Bryan, Marsala and Rosa Maria. This is great for sharing and allows you to try their 3 different chicken options at once. Service has always been outstanding.

I've been to a lot of locations for this chain, first I Houston and now in Florida. Those in Palm Beach County are fine with good food and service. However, this one was fun. From the standpoint of the efficient implementation of call ahead seating to there dealing with odd problems. It was early evening of July 4th. It was very busy. Much more of a buzz than any other Carrabbas, It approached jubilant. My soup was piping hot and delicious. However, two minutes later the entrée arrived. Couldn't really enjoy the soup. The spaghetti and Italian sausage were perfectly prepared. Interestingly things were worse for eight people at ha hi-top table nearby. When their entree's arrived they loudly announced that they hadn't gotten salads and soup yet. The manager and other personnel fidgeted to rectify the situation. The entire meal including desert were served at once. They coped with this strangeness well. I mentioned it to our waitress, who admitted there was problem in the kitchen. There were instances of duplicate ordered served to the same table. All in all, this strangeness contributed to an over all positive atmosphere to the evening. Would I recommend it to others and return in the future? Yes.

My friends and I went to carrabbas today for lunch because we had an hour and a half to kill before picking up a friend at the airport. The restaurant was empty, there was 3 other tables besides us. We were very disappointed with the service. My friends cappuccino came out luke warm. Waitress was very slow with taking our orders and bringing the bread. She did not know how to open the champagne bottles for mimosas. The entrees took so long to come out so we finally told the manager to cancel it because we had to get to the airport. Just afterward the food came out. The manager told us he would give us boxes and only charge us for the appetizers and drinks, which was good BUT it then took 12 additional minutes to bring the boxes and check AND they did not give us an itemized check so although the price was lower, we are not sure what we were charged for. Food was good but i would not go there again because of service.

Not a big fan of chains, but this place is actually very good . Being glutenfree can be challenging when going out for lunch in an Italian restaurant, right? Not here. Carrabba's actually carries a GF menu for the gluten intolerant and celiac customers. And a very good one, if I may say so. My friends enjoyed their lasagna which was -according to one of them who happens to be a very picky eater- the best they ever had in a restaurant. And that says a lot. My Caesar salad was very good, especially the dressing made this. Grilled chicken was grilled to perfection which is more often than not a disaster in restaurants (overcooked, dry, inedible which often makes me dread ordering chicken) Their side of broccoli is highly recommended when you like garlic. We love garlic so we were fine: steamed broccoli with finely minced garlic made for an excellent side dish. I would go back to the broccoli!! Our server, Larry, is worth mentioning. Efficient, friendly and pleasant. What else could we have asked for?

I so desperately wanted to not like Carrabba's because it's a chain, and chain restaurants are by nature homogeneous and pander to the lowest common denominator. But I'll go ahead and say it......we had a very good time here the other night. There. Ughhhh. A gift certificate received over the holidays prompted our visit to this newly opened restaurant. All the "things" and "kinks" have been worked out: service was friendly and prompt, our food was flavorful and properly prepared, the ambiance was welcoming, and everything ran very smoothly. This was my first time to a Carrabba's, but I've been a zillion times over the years to other Bloomin' Brands restaurants. It appears the successful business model that first served them so well at Outback has been transferred to this restaurant as well. Veggie spoiler - the thick, rich, and chock full o' veggies minestrone soup tastes so yummy because of pancetta "flavor." I didn't ask for more details and ate it anyway. But then, I'm ok with my veggie burgers grilled alongside hamburgers. Your call, fellow veggies! The pretty salad had a nice mix of greens and good dressing. I ordered the orecchiette wood-grilled chicken tossed with wild porcini, cremini, shitake and portabella mushrooms, port wine sauce and a touch of cream, all sautéed then baked with orecchiette "little ears" pasta. Upon hearing me ask for the chicken dish without the chicken, the waiter didn't bat an eye, smiled and said, "of course we can do that." I can imagine the fight that ensued with the chef (been there, done that) and I appreciate my waiter going to bat for me and being so accommodating! The pasta was al dente, all four fungi were present and accounted for, the sauce had less port flavor than I would have liked, but anything creamy makes me happy. My eso ordered the tilapia nocciola. Just as advertised, the hearty portion of fish was lightly breaded with hazelnuts, topped with roma tomatoes and basil lemon butter sauce. Here's what was nice about this piece of fish compared to any fish I've had at Bone Fish Grill - it wasn't foundering in a greasy sea of butter. Also, it was the thickest cut of tilapia I've ever seen; cut more like swordfish. The crostata filled with peach and raspberry, baked in a wood-fired oven and topped with vanilla ice cream is totally worth the calories! The only slight disappointment was with my cosmo. Despite having overtones of cough syrup, it still compelled me to finish it off. So it couldn't have been that bad. For the money, this restaurant is an excellent value, and perfect for a casual everyday meal. Did any of the dishes make me close my eyes and say, omg this is soooo good? No, because they have shareholders to answer to, and don't use cheese that costs $30 a pound like a small restaurant would (and then charge twice as much also). But Carrabba's also doesn't have the rabidly indifferent waitstaff that is so often found at small, trendy restaurants. Congrats, corporate chain - bloomin' good job!

MAMA MIA WHERE IS GRAND MOM? After months of waiting they are open and I must say it was better than I expected, not your Olive Garden Restaurant.. It was New Year's Day and for dinner I went with the Tuccis, Alex and Lisa . We had fried calamari, the bread hot served with olive oil sidedish for dipping. I had the veil parmasian with a side of pasta. The service was very fast and very friendly but being new they were still working on the kinks. Lisa had the marcela and Alex the chicken Parmesan , being Italian too the dishes past the Italian test. So many restaurant claim to be Italian when the cooks are from India or China or point beyond. This is also the case is Rome ,sadly to say

We love garlic so we were fine: steamed broccoli with finely minced garlic made for an excellent side dish. I would go back to the broccoli!! Our server, Larry, is worth mentioning. Efficient, friendly and pleasant. What else could we have asked for?

They JUST opened so they are still working things out. The food was great. The service a little slow - but we got seated right away. We had a nice family dinner - slow and steady.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
